Search, browse, and look up qualifications and awarding organisations regulated by Ofqual (England) and CCEA Regulation (Northern Ireland). No authentication required.

Capabilities

• Search qualifications by title, level, type, or assessment method. Paginated.
• Awarding organisations directory. Paginated.
• Qualification detail by qualification number (e.g. 603/2476/0) — full details including title, level, type, status, grading, and awarding organisation.
• Organisation detail by recognition number (e.g. RN5133) — name, acronym, recognition status, and scope of recognition.

Workflow

1. Search qualifications with a title keyword (e.g. "mathematics", "GCSE")
2. Open qualification detail using the qualificationNumber from search results
3. Browse orgs to find awarding bodies
4. Get org detail using the recognitionNumber to see recognition status

Qualification Levels

• Entry Level — Entry 1, 2, 3 (basic knowledge and skills)
• Level 1 — GCSEs (grades 3-1), NVQ Level 1
• Level 2 — GCSEs (grades 9-4), NVQ Level 2
• Level 3 — A Levels, T Levels, NVQ Level 3
• Level 4 — HNC
• Level 5 — HND, Foundation Degree
• Level 6 — Bachelor's Degree
• Level 7 — Master's Degree
• Level 8 — Doctorate

Qualification Types

GCSE, GCE A Level, GCE AS Level, NVQ, BTEC, T Level, Functional Skills, End-Point Assessment, Project Qualification, Award, Certificate, Diploma, Extended Diploma.

Gotchas

• Pagination — page is 1-based. Default limit is 20.
• Qualification numbers contain forward slashes (e.g. 603/2476/0) — pass them as-is.
• Organisation search matches against name and acronym.
