Close CRM

Sales CRM built for outbound teams. Everything revolves around Leads — contacts, opportunities, and all activities are children of a lead.

Entity Hierarchy

  • Lead (core entity) — a company or deal. Has a status_id linking to Lead Statuses for pipeline progression.
  • Contact — a person within a lead. Multiple contacts per lead. Has emails, phones, URLs.
  • Opportunity — a revenue deal within a lead. Links to a Pipeline and progresses through Opportunity Statuses (pipeline stages).
  • Pipeline — a sales funnel. Each pipeline has its own set of Opportunity Statuses defining the stage progression.

  • Call Activities — inbound/outbound calls with duration, recording, disposition.
  • Email Activities — sent/received emails. Email Thread Activities group related emails.
  • Meeting Activities — scheduled meetings with attendees.
  • Note Activities — free-text notes attached to a lead.

  • Voicemail Tasks — pending voicemail follow-ups.

  3. Sequence management: Sequences → templates for creative → bulk sequence enrollment history for who was touched.
  4. Custom field inventory: Lead, contact, opportunity, and activity field registries combine into the full custom schema.

Gotchas

  • Lead-centric model: Contacts and opportunities always hang off a lead—anchor every investigation on leads first.
  • Pagination: Paged reads expose has_more with _skip / _limit; default window is 100 rows.
  • Custom field IDs: Custom fields are referenced by custom.cf_XXXXX format in lead/contact/opportunity objects.
  • Status IDs: Lead and opportunity statuses are referenced by ID, not name. Enumerate statuses first to map names to IDs.
